Three Podcasts to Boost Motivation

What we consume influences us.
We eat fast food and feel rubbish. We eat nutrient dense food and feel nourished.
The media we consume is no different.
I love some Netflix reality TV. Love is Blind. Selling Sunset. Give it to me!
And I know that too much of that kind of viewing makes me feel rubbish.
I end up couch rotting and not in an intentional, rejuvenating kind of way. In a brain turned off and I’m also scrolling on my phone and I feel blah kind of way.
The good news is the media consume also has the power to make us feel great. Inspired. Motivated. Able to do anything.
The right podcast in my ears has the ability to get me unstuck and moving on my goals again.
Today I’m sharing three of my favourites.
The Owaken Podcast
This podcast talks straight to my highest self. When I listen to hosts Lukis and Hellè talk about classic personal development topics like creating lasting change, establishing habits, eliminating distractions, focusing on goals, I WANT to operate from my highest self.
I don’t tend to finish episodes with action steps or takeaways that I want to implement. It doesn’t add to my to do list. That partly because I’ve been in the personal development space for so long that what they’re discussing aren’t necessarily new ideas for me.
The difference The Owaken Podcast makes for me is kicking me into operating as the version of me I want to be. It’s pure motivation.
These episodes connect me to the version of myself that pursues my goals fearlessly. The version that lives with intention. Turns my life into ritual and celebration.
An added bonus is Lukis and Hellè are New Zealanders like me and hearing them live big, authentic lives reminds me it’s possible for me to do that too.
And She Rises
Amanda Frances is my favourite teacher and coach on the internet so of course her podcast is on this list.
Amanda is known as the Money Queen and plenty of her episodes share absolute gold on money mindset and manifestation. She doesn’t stop there sharing wisdom on transmuting life challenges, being intentional as a Mama, creating a magnetic brand, and whatever else feels potent from her life.
Listening to And She Rises raises my vibration. I feel GOOD when I listen. And when I feel good, I do more. So it’s like an obstacle melter for me.
This blog was inspired by relistening to her episode on creating the best year ever on a walk, coming home and journalling madly on the prompts. The result was feeling the most energised for the future I have since having babies.

More Alive
More Alive is hosted by Andrea Crowder and Andrea’s whole mission is operating from pleasure not pressure. She rethinks success, rejecting hustle culture or achievement at any cost.
Listening to Andrea can feel like receiving live coaching. Sometimes it feels like she’s talking directly to me. It’s amazing how often I hear exactly what I need.
Back in September I was feeling disconnected from my goals when I tuned into a More Alive episode. Andrea talked about following where there is wind, looking for what there is already energy to move you forward. That idea inspired me to forget forcing my goals. Instead I committed to Pilates and journalling everyday, two habits that I felt pulled towards.
Fast forward six weeks later, I have cleared vision, more momentum and am executing on my goals more powerfully. I couldn’t have predicted what outcome following the wind would bring me but I’m very happy with where I’m at.
And that’s the power of Andrea. She’ll have you doing things that seem illogical yet end up creating magic.

Easy Motivation Boost to Pursue My Goals
All three of these podcasts are speaking to people who want to fulfil their potential. People who realise that a big life (however they define that) is possible and want to create it for themselves.
When I listen to these shows regularly, I notice motivation comes easily. I’m inspired to pursue my goals.
It almost feels like cheating. I pop on a podcast while I’m walking or driving or pottering around home. For that minimal effort, these shows transform my energy. That energy turns into massive momentum towards my goals. It’s the ultimate hack!
